Dear Jim, Now back in the west after a truly enjoyable night amang the lads ‘o’ Caurnie. I felt right at home you lads, and your kindness to me was to say the least extremely kind. My wee ‘haverings’ to the company was made all the easier when you know your ‘audience’ and I knew from the onset that we had lots in common. My only regret was that I took the opportunity to dash off behind Jim Twaddle who was my guiding light to get to my daughters house, as evening the few minutes after the dinner I spoke to a number of the lads who made me feel right at home.

To be quite honest with the written instructions I had I believe I would been driving around till day light, thanks again to Jim.

Chairman John is an excellent chap and he conducted the evening no bother at all even injecting his little bit of humour.

Your president David would be a fine companion to spend a day with as he sounded so interesting with his float fishing at his SPEED.

Roger’s quiz is an excellent idea, the comments from the body of the kirk certainly added to the night.

To see and appreciate the amount of effort you personally put in, well Caurnie A/C. from what I gathered certainly were glad of it.I think honestly Jim you are like my self , angling means a lot to me so never considered the extra work I put in , a burden,

Would you be as kind to pass on my grateful thanks to President David, Chairman John your good self and of course all the lads of Caurnie, you have been more than kind. I shall certainly take up your very kind offer of a chuck on the loch, as it is nor far from my daughter’s house if it is o.k. I shall bring along my son-in law who is a Canadian lad I have got interested in the fishing.

My sincere appreciation to you Jim and the lads. Take care.

Davie
